C.A.R. spray pattern

In Apex Legends, the C.A.R. climbs almost straight up for the first 3 rounds, then pulls to the left. Here's the shape, the numbers, and how to control it — then drill it into muscle memory on SprayTrace.

Your mouse path — start on the crosshair and follow it down. The bullets climb the opposite way; this is the movement that cancels them.

How to control it

Controlling the C.A.R. spray

  1. Pull down to cancel the climb. The C.A.R. rises about 7.5° over its first burst — drag straight down to keep the crosshair on target as it climbs.
  2. Ease right into the pull. The spray pulls 2.3° to the left — feed a slow right correction as you pull down.
  3. Reset between bursts. Recoil fully resets after about 0.30s off the trigger — tap-fire or burst at range, spray up close.
  4. Drill it to muscle memory. At 930 RPM a full 20-round spray plays out in ~1.29s. Trace it in SprayTrace at 20% speed, then ramp to full, then go Blind.
