M4A4 spray pattern

In Counter-Strike 2, the M4A4 climbs almost straight up for the first 9 rounds, drifts slightly left, swings right, then kicks left on the last rounds. Here's the shape, the numbers, and how to control it — then drill it into muscle memory on SprayTrace.

Your mouse path — start on the crosshair and follow it down. The bullets climb the opposite way; this is the movement that cancels them.

How to control it

Controlling the M4A4 spray

  1. Pull down to cancel the climb. The M4A4 rises about 9.7° over its first burst — drag straight down to keep the crosshair on target as it climbs.
  2. Counter each swing in turn. The pattern swings 6.6° across and changes direction 2 times — move against it: right, then left, then right.
  3. Reset between bursts. Recoil fully resets after about 0.40s off the trigger — tap-fire or burst at range, spray up close.
  4. Drill it to muscle memory. At 666 RPM a full 30-round spray plays out in ~2.7s. Trace it in SprayTrace at 20% speed, then ramp to full, then go Blind.
